Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig in September 21 1982. Maggie Grace is an American Actress best known as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV show Lost. She was born in Worthington, Ohio and dropped out of school after her parents divorced to go in Los Angeles to live with her mother. Her first role came to her as Rachel's Room's main character in 2001 despite struggling in the financial department. She went on to earn a Young Artist Award nomination in 2002 with her portrayal of the 15 year old murder victim Martha Moxley in the television movie Murder in Greenwich. Grace played Shannon Rutherford on the Lost television series in 2004. She was the main character for two seasons and was awarded the Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace left the series to concentrate on her professional film work. She had starred alongside Tom Welling opposite in The Fog in 2005. She was on the screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in both 2007 as well as Taken (2008) alongside Liam Neeson. The role was reprised in Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). In addition, she played Alice as Alice in Malice in Wonderland which is the modern-day version from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace performed the role of Shannon once more in the show's finale and in two additional episodes. In 2013 she appears in Season 6 of Californication. She portrays Faith a groupie and a muse to the stars, who catches the interest of Hank Moody played by David Duchovny. She is part of Gyllenhaal's family, and is the older sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. The first time she appeared in the films of her father in his adolescent years. Together with her brother she appeared on the screen in Donnie Darko (2000). She appeared next in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind both in 2002 and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was praised by critics for her performances as the lead in Secretary (2002 the erotic romance drama) as well as Sherrybaby (606) Both of which earned her Golden Globe Award nods. The actress gained more attention after playing Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) due to the success of several commercial films she starred in in 2006. In recognition of her role as the single mother, in Crazy Heart (2009) she got a nomination in the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. The following year, she starred in comedy and dramas Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) and The Won't Back Down (2012). Alongside her work as a Secret Service agent, she was also seen on screen in White House Down (2013) and Frank (2014). Her most recent roles were her character as the primary protagonist The Kindergarten Teacher The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal's first film as a director and writer took place in 2021, with The Lost Daughter, a psychological drama in which she won an award at the Venice International Film Festival Best Screenplay Award. In addition, she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
