Michael Keaton, an American actor and director best known for his role in Birdman. An actor with a variety of talents, he's proficient in comedy and dramatic roles. He's also played a few romantic characters and was in a variety of action-packed films throughout his career. He developed an interest in performing and acting when he was in his teens and tried his luck at stand-up comedy as an adult. It was not successful, though it paved the way for the path to a career in acting. He was unable to achieve success as comedian, so his next move was as a TV cameraman for a cable channel. As he was doing the work he started to realise that he would like to appear on camera. Through a handful of episodes of Mister Rogers Neighborhood, he could land the role on TV. The actor was naturally talented and quickly became a household name in the world of television. He embarked on an acting career in film with huge hopes and achieved a great deal of recognition for his comedic performances. He earned further acclaim by playing the titular superhero in Tim Burton's Batman. As time passed, he grew as an actor, and started to pursue direction and production. The role he played in the 2014 film Birdman earned him several nominations and prizes.
